Step-by-Step Speed Increase Tests with Double-Coupled EMU Trains Officially Start on Hubei Section of the Xi'an-Shiyan High Speed Railway

 

  

      On April 15, the Hubei section of the Xi'an-Shiyan High Speed Railway officially began step-by-step speed increase tests using double-coupled EMU trains. The Xi'an-Shiyan High Speed Railway starts from Xi'an in Shaanxi in the west, traverses the Qinling Mountains and ends at Shiyan in Hubei, with a total main line length of 256.938 km and a designed speed of 350 km/h. It is a critical section of the Wuhan-Xi'an High Speed Railway and an integral part of the Fuzhou-Yinchuan corridor.
